week 5 almost done!

Wow! Where did that go? wooooosh and it’s week 5

It’s been amazing, hard, fun, stressful and crazy.  We’ve learned ( or relearned in some cases), basic knife skills in our labs. More things about safety and sanitation than any sane person would ever want to know…but boy do you see the world differently after 5 weeks of that! Culinary and Baking Theory… who knew there was sooooo much interesting history when it comes to this stuff???  I admit the Labs are my favourite classes. I’m a hands on girl and love to actually be in the kitchen and producing stuff. I’ll get pics and what classes they come from this weekend.

We’ve a nice variety of teachers / chefs as well so it gives us an interesting blend of perspectives and styles to learn from. A definite advantage for our group i think.

That’s all for this morning …except maybe one photo 🙂  Cinnamon rolls with raisins ! Make a fabulous breakfast the next day
