A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step…tho maybe it was more of a shuffle.

I’ve heard that the destination isn’t the important part of that trip…. it is the sights and stops along the way. My journey has often felt like a very complicated old English maze…. many twists and turns and even a few dead ends and reversals. But I wouldn’t change a thing, because then maybe I wouldn’t be where I am now. The journey has helped, if not totally defined, who I am. And I can finally say that I really like me ( even though it took a lot of years to say that).

All that being said…. I’ve left my original posts because they are part of my journey. I still love to cook even tho I didn’t get to finish culinary school. Mom duties took priority and when one of my boys needed to re group his life, that came before anything else. With no regrets. The all too few months I spent at culinary school taught me so much. I learned to be more fearless in my cooking and baking. I mean, if I could manage to make dozens of crepes, choux and profiteroles and cut and cook steak for 100 people, then I could tackle anything!

I’ve been a scrapbooker since 1998, a Creative Memories Advisor since 2000. I started making cards somewhere around there because why ever buy one when I have everything I need to make one? These days I make more cards than I scrapbook because life’s curveballs made that a heck of a challenge in the last 10 years. But things always seem to work out in a way that makes sense in hindsight. I’ve always said Scrapbooking is what I do with my photos and card making is my artistic outlet. It’s my crafty release and as I always like to tag my IG photos… #craftingismytherapy

I thought it time to reboot my blog with the idea of sharing my journey and passion for paper crafting, food, my take on the Magik of Life.
