A Spring Smile

I’m so pleased to be a be able to say that I was asked to be a guest designer for Your Next Stamp! I love their products and the fact that they are local to me!! I will be able to share some really fun cards over the next few weeks that I’ve made using their products!

They were very generous in letting me choose some sets I’d like to work with, and with all the amazing options I had a hard time choosing!

Let’s start with the first I made for them and went up on the YNS blog a couple of weeks ago… The link to that post on their blog is here.

A Happy bit of Spring

For this sweet card I started with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 panel of Hammermill 100lb Cover. Using the YNS Bubbles stencil SYNS018 I ink blended with Concord & 9th’s Grapefruit which is soft pinky orange shade. I layered that over some fun patterned paper from my vast stash of Creative Memories paper to pull all the colours together. The images are coloured with Ohuhu alcohol markers and are from the Spring Smiles stamp and Die set CYNS782.  The sentiment is also from the same set trimmed to a 2″ x 2″ square and outlined with a gold metallic pen. The sentiment and watering can are popped up with the YNS pop dots. And of course the finishing touches are Coral Reef Sparkly Gumdrops. The panel were cut with the Waffleflower Lacy Layers die set and the grass was cut from some CM paper scraps with the Lawn Fawn die.
