This fun little card is up on the YNS blog today and you can find that here.
For this project I used the Your Next Stamp sets Spring Smiles Stamp & Die Set and Flowers and Smiles Stamp & Die set. Using the Circle Panel Die with a piece of watercolour paper that I spritzed with some water and splattered with some Ken Oliver Liquid Metals in Sparkle Berry. I stacked up the panel with extra die cut layers of cardstock (I save my oopsie pieces for just this reason) for some dimension. All the images are stamped in Versafine Black Onyx and heat set with a clear embossing powder before colouring with Ohuhu Alcohol Markers. The sentiment is from the Flowers and Smiles stamp set. And of course what’s a YNS card without some pretty gumdrops? For this card I used the Coral Reef Sparkly set.

On days that the creativity maybe doesn’t flow as easily as others I challenge myself to make backgrounds. I will pull out some of my fun supplies and just create! Stencils, paint, gel prints, stamp sets and background stamps. Just to make things for fun and not a particular purpose. I find that it often sparks more creativity that way. Then when I have a specific project in mind I know I have lots and lots of choices to pull from!
