Cardmaking

One Layer Colour Blocking

For today’s card I’m sharing my post as a Design Team member for The Creative Crafters blog, which you can find here

This card is made with the layering of colour with solid stamp blocks from the Simon Says Stamp, Fruit Tiles Stamp Set which you can find here and looks like this .

I used 3 shades of Pawsitively Saturated Ink -Cheeky, Cantalope & Lemonade. I stamped each colour twice on the first column, for the second section I stamped Cheeky once and Cantalope once over lapping to create a new colour. I did the same on the second square using Cantalope and Lemonade. The last square you can only see the edge of is a blend of all three colours!!

To keep this design clean & simple I used the leafy spray from the Celestial Wishes. I stamped in the same shades of ink, then did a layer of clear embossing ink over top. I did a clear embossing powder over top and heat set it . The sentiment is also from the Celestial Wishes Set, and is heat embossed in gold

The panel is then cut with a Wafflerflower A2 Layering Die and popped up on an Ivory top fold card base
