My hubby took one look at the Postage Collage Cover Die I received from Simon Says Stamp for the awesome DieCember release, and said ‘that looks like a vintage tin ceiling’ and an idea was born!

The first thing I did was run the die, still on the packaging, through my Big Shot with the embossing pad to make the impression in the Matte Gold paper. Then I cut the main design from a panel of 100lb black cardstock from Simon Says Stamp.

I also cut the small inner postage dies from the same black cardstock and then ran them through and embossing folder to add the dot texture !!

I used the Spellbinder Dazzling Dots Embossing Folder for the pattern and texture. Having the design embossed in the mat gold made placement much easier as they clicked into place quite easily.
I wanted the dies to really be the star of the card so I kept the sentiment super clean and simple and used the Celebrating You from the Celebrating You Stamp Set
