Welcome to Handmade Holidays, where every gift is created with love and a little creative magic ✨
For the next 3 weeks, we’ll be sharing crafty gift ideas for every budget — gentle reminders that the season’s most treasured gifts are the ones made with love. Some of the sweetest presents come straight from your hands and heart (& maybe hot glue gun!).

I was inspired by a session of re-inking my C9 Evergreen ink pad. Rather than just wipe the ink off my spatula I sprayed if off with water into a dish… then I thought, hmmmm I can watercolour with that… and thus began my venture into this years bookmarks!
I’ve often made bookmarks at Christmas and I really think they are a lovely handmade extra touch to a gift or hostess thank you package.
Today I made 4 bookmakers and I did do a video for the whole process. Two by brushing some scrap watercolour paper with the green ink and two from my stash in muted rainbow colours.
I picked 3 fun festive background stamps out of my stash and heat emobssed the panels with those. All the products are listed below with links, but you can really use anything you have to achieve a similar end result.
