Inlaid Die Cutting with a Pop of Colour

I’m loving working on my ACEP through Altenew! This card is for the Easy Die Cutting Techniques class. Paper piecing is something I find both relaxing and challenging. I like to see what patterns and looks can be created with a cover die like this Layered Snowflake Cover Die B from Altnew. I adhered the frame of the die using the new Simon Says Stamp Micro Dot Sheets and inlaid the individual pieces with a liquid glue.

Gel press panels make excellent colour combinations for leaves and flowers.

Using the True Friends Sentiment Stamp and Die set I stamped one of the leaf sprays on a pre done gel print panel twice in black and heat embossed in clear for some texture and shine. I cut them out and layered them at the bottom under a popped up sentiment from the same set.

Some bling for that extra touch of shine.

This card is a standard A2 top fold card. The leaves were cut from a gel press panel made on a 1/4 sheet of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock. For embossing the sentiment I stamped it gently using my Misti and some white pigment ink from Hero Arts. The stamp platform is my project saver, because I can always re-stamp in the same place as needed without worrying I’ll mess it up or offset the design by mistake.

A design like this is so flexible and by changing the sentiment and design element it can be suitable for so many occasions.
