Let’s Hear it For the Guys!

Clean and Simple for a classic masculine card.

I love making cards for the men in my life and with a hubby and 3 sons I’ve had lots of practice! Tho quite honestly my step daughters would love cards with Jeeps on them! For this one tho, I thought that keeping it clean and simple with primary colours would give it a classic feel with style. I used an A2 top folding card base made from Accent Opaque Cardstock in 100lb. I added the Layered Snowflake Stars B cover plate cut out in a classic red cardstock from my Creative Memories paper stash.

The Altenew mini Delight sets are perfect for a CAS focal point.

The Altenew mini Delight , You’re a Classic stamp and die set, was perfect for this ACEP class. Using my mini Misti and a combination of Altenew inks in Polar Bear, Winter Lake, Maple Yellow and Jet Black, I stamped out this cute layering stamp set and cut with the matching die . I admit I always get the coordinating dies when possible as my skill at fussy cutting isn’t the best. I cut 3 of the ‘classic’ word die out of Neenah 80lb cardstock. The top layer I did a direct to paper ink technique with the Maple Yellow ink to match the colour of the headlights, and cut it out after letting it dry for a few minutes. I stacked them together using the new micro dot sheets from Simon Says Stamp. I used a Nuvo shimmer pen to accent the headlights and the word Classic for some subtle shine

Subtle shimmer and shine to keep it fun but not fussy.

Using the smallest of the Altenew Nesting Slim Labels I ink blended over the White Shimmer Cardstock with the Winter Lake ink to get a tonal look to match the car a little closer. Add ink over coloured paper of any kind gives you an endless opportunity to coordinate without the expense of buying more paper.
