Cardmaking

Step up the Design! – One card design with 3 variations!

Hello friends! Welcome to the forgotten technique YouTube hop! I’m so happy you are here today. The premise of this hop to do the techniques that you know how to do, but you just haven’t done for a long time.

We challenge you to dig through your supplies and your memory and find what you may have forgotten. I bet you’d be surprised! Please hop along with us to see what we created with our forgotten techniques.

Start with something clean and easy!

I used the same colour palette and stamp set across all 3 cards to show how you can keep it fun and easy or step it up and create something extra special!!

Step it up a notch!

Adding a Black matting layer and popping up the die cut sentiment elevates the design a step but still keeps it easy to do and easy to make dozens if you so choose!

Add that touch of Magik!

For this one it stepped it up with gold heat embossing then did a partial die cutting technique. I added the sentiment in gold pigment ink to tie it all together then popped the panel up on foam tape on an Ivory card base to add contrast and dimension. Ivory, white and gold are such an elegant combination
