Cardmaking

Back in the AECP Groove!

I’ve started my Level 2 and I am determined to complete this amazing program this year!

My first class back is the Level 2 Beyond Basic Backgrounds.

I made two cards for this because I can never resist a good 2-for-1 !

I started with a panel of watercolour paper and used my Inks a paint. In shades of Blues, reds and purples I did a casual wash to give an uneven watery feel to the panel.

I die cut it with the Moroccan Lattice Cover die and also cut a panel of white. I left the white panel intact with a double sided adhesive sheet on the back. Using Press-n-Seal I kept all the pieces together from the watercolored panel.

Paper Piecing is a tad time consuming but the end results are really spectacular! I love that a die like this one can give you two amazing cards. The positive of the frame and the negative of all the pieces are all lovely and useable!

Card one is using the negative pieces and added to the white panel for dimension. I then used the Grand Carnations bundle to create the flower for the card front. The sentiment is from the One-Go: Birthday Greetings stamp & die set

For card two I used the positive panel and backed it with some spectacular glitter paper. Sometimes you don’t need to do much more than that and add a sentiment. It’s okay to let the design and products shine on their own!

I’ve added a second picture to show that shine!!!! The sentiment is also from the One-Go Birthday set and the shine is the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Cardstock.
