Cardmaking · Spellbinders New Release

Beautifully Imperfect

This amazing new collection from Spellbinders Paper Arts is sure to fire up your creativity! There is charm and warmth in the imperfect and this collection really shows that.

These cards are featuringthe October 2025 Beautifully Imperfect Collection from @teamspellbinders The **Butterfly Splatter Press Plate and the **Distress Mix Embossing Folder.

I used some Blue Metallic ink for the butterfly and Bettterpress black ink for the sentiment.  I love these press plates because you can also hot foil with them!! Totally versatile and it’s wonderful to have products that multitask!

The first card is a classic one-layer design that is easy to replicate and could be done in every colour of the rainbow if you wanted to do a batch creating session!

The second card is a bit of a step up and uses the embossing folder to add some drama to a black piece of cardstock. I brushed over the raised parts with the same metallic blue ink and spritzed a little bit of Distress Mica in Frosted Juniper over everything but the butterfly and sentiment. Images like this butterfly are so simple to fussy cut because there are no outer lines to follow and your imagination can have free will!
